Job description
Our company is currently seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our growing team. The chosen candidate will be responsible for taking on a leadership role in financial decision-making that affects our company, and will provide strategic financial input to senior management.
While keenly overseeing the overall accounting process, the successful CFO will play a key role in developing and implementing financial procedures to improve and maintain the financial health of our firm.
Duties and Responsibilities;
Financial Planning and Analysis
- Budgeting: Developing and managing the company’s budget.
- Forecasting: Predicting future financial trends and outcomes.
- Financial Modeling: Creating financial models to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
Financial Reporting
- Financial Statements: Preparing and presenting financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Compliance: Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Audits: Coordinating internal and external audits.
Cash Flow Management
- Liquidity: Managing the company’s cash flow to ensure it meets its financial obligations.
- Investment Management: Overseeing investment strategies and decisions.
- Debt Management: Handling the company’s borrowing and debt repayment.
Risk Management
- Risk Assessment: Identifying and mitigating financial risks.
- Insurance: Managing the company’s insurance portfolio.
- Regulatory Risks: Ensuring adherence to financial regulations and laws.
Strategic Leadership
- Strategic Planning: Contributing to the development of the company’s strategic goals and objectives.
- Mergers and Acquisitions: Overseeing mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
- Growth Initiatives: Supporting business expansion and growth strategies.
Stakeholder Communication
- Investor Relations: Communicating with shareholders, investors, and analysts.
- Board Reporting: Reporting financial performance and strategic initiatives to the board of directors.
- Internal Communication: Collaborating with other departments to align financial goals with operational goals.
Operational Efficiency
- Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance financial efficiency.
- Cost Management: Controlling costs and improving the company’s profitability.
- Technology Integration: Leveraging financial technology to streamline processes and improve reporting.
Team Leadership
- Staff Management: Leading the finance and accounting teams.
- Talent Development: Hiring, training, and developing finance personnel.
- Performance Evaluation: Evaluating the performance of the finance team and setting goals.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Finance or related field (MBA preferred)
Professional accounting designation (CA: CMA or CPA)
10+ years’ experience in a senior financial managerial position
Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and Microsoft Dynamics SL financial reporting software
Exceptional communication skills
Results-oriented, strategic thinker and planner
