The Company Seeks the Services of a Project Tailings Engineer x2

Job Purpose

The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:

• Provide process engineering and review at all stages of tailings projects including concept, technical requirements, design, construction, operations and decommissioning.
• Provide plans and assessments for the commissioning, operations and maintenance of tailings projects.
• With Engineer of Record establish and conduct, quality control programs, inspections, operating procedures and control strategies to ensure consistency and adherence to standards for raw materials, products and waste products or emissions.
• Oversee the design, construction, modification, operation and maintenance of tailings pilot plants, processing units or processing plants.
• Plan and managing projects, and preparing material, cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications for machinery and systems.

To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in geotechnical engineering.
• Registered member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia.
• At least 10 years’ experience in design and construction.
• Proficiency in MS Office and slope stability programs required (e.g., GeoStudio and/or RocScience).

The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and Corporate objectives.
