Job description:
Purpose and Responsibilities
- Identify and perform electrical isolations for project personnel in accordance with the project and site isolation procedures
- Create isolation lists using the site approved template by reviewing the scope of work, listing affected equipment and identifying required isolations on drawings including SLDs, schematics and PIDs
- Independently check and verify the isolation lists (created by other LOTO specialists) based on the scope of work and drawings including SLDs, schematics and PIDs
- Administer the commissioning permit to work system and maintain the register of active and closed commissioning permits
- Administer the Construction Boundary Isolation (CBI) system which is the identification, checking, placement and verification of isolations between energised equipment under commissioning control and “downstream” equipment still being worked on by construction
- Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the commissioning manager and/or leads
Qualifications and Experience
- Electrical Engineering Degree or Diploma
- Ability to read drawings such as PIDs, schematics and SLDs required
- Minimum 3years work experience performing isolations in an industrial environment
- Experience working in a project construction and/or commissioning environment desirable
- Professional, but firm attitude and style of communication
- Ability to use Microsoft office suite, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word
