Job Title: Fintech IT Projects Coordinator
The key responsibilities for this role include but not limited to the following:
- Includes liaison with and supervision of vendor’s and partners to support project delivery;
- Role dependency with Fintech Architecture, Security and Operations within Fintech IT. Product & Strategy, Channel’s, Risk & Compliance and CVM within the wider business;
- Thorough understanding of Mobile Money platform, technology solutions and outcomes expected by the project sponsor;
- Requires ability to interpret project plans, solution designs and functional specifications;
- Requires ability to drive cross functional teams to complete project miles stones on time, and to the right quality as well as track progress throughout the project lifecycle;
- Understands the business solutions under delivery in order to support the review of test plans, coordination of integration and user acceptance testing;
- Plans and coordinates the deployment of the tested solutions by securing the required CAB approvals through the Change Management Process and ensuring successful deployment;
- Secures the post implementation signoff to enable the handover of the delivered solution to Operations;
- Identifies and mitigates project risks and issues and ensures timely escalations. Takes full ownership of all open issues and ensures timely resolution;
- Monitors and provides accurate and timely reports on project status, including key milestones and deliverables to all the necessary stakeholders;
- Manages project documentation, including meeting minutes, action items, and project artifacts;
- Conducts post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and opportunities for process improvement;
- Ability to cover any other tasks as assigned by the Line Manager.
Candidate Requirements:
- Grade 12 certificate with 5 credits or better of which English and Mathematics are a must;
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field;
- 1 Year Mobile Money, Fintech or Banking technology experience with emphasis on project support;
- Formal training agile project delivery methodologies is an advantage;
- In depth knowledge of IT and the IT technology roadmaps;
- Knowledge of project management;
- Awareness of Fintech trends;
- Understanding of IT and Telecommunications industry and key trends.
