
The Judiciary
The Judiciary is an arm of Government established under Part VIII of the Constitution (Amendment) No. 2 of 2016. Its mission is “To administer justice to all in an independent, impartial, competent and timely manner”. In order to improve service delivery, the Judiciary is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following vacancies.
Principal Planner Quantity Surveyor (JSS11) x 1 (Annual Basic Salary of K164, 819.76) to be based in Lusaka
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be required to report to the Chief Planner Infrastructure and will be responsible for the following duties:
i. Undertakes efficiently the preparation of Bills of Quantities and Procurement specifications in order to facilitate the tender process;
ii. Undertakes efficiently the variation of project budgets in order to ensure value for money and control of project cost;
iii. Undertakes efficiently the evaluation of contractors’ claims in order to ensure that projects specifications have been met; and
iv. Undertakes efficiently the preparation of final reports for building projects in order to ascertain the actual cost of the projects.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENT
Minimum Primary/Secondary Education
Full Form V/Grade 12 Certificate at least 5 O’levels including English Minimum Vocational/Professional Qualifications
Degree in Building Science or equivalent
Member of Surveyors Institute of Zambia Minimum Relevant Pre-job Experience: 6 years’ experience
