Description:
The Golf Course Maintenance Workshop Manager is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all golf course equipment. This includes but is not limited to mowers, maintenance carts, tractors and golf club vehicles. The candidate must be able to create a healthy working relationship with the committee, Greenkeeper, operators and other workshop staff.
Duties and essential job functions:
• Ability to work proactively to equipment maintenance and repair to minimize equipment downtime and loss of stuff productivity.
• Maintain detailed records for equipment and part, repair costs and preventive maintenance of all equipment.
• Maintain inventory of shelf stock of repair, nut and bolts belts, horses etc.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment, inside and outside.
• Adjust mowers correctly to Greenkeepers standards
• Assist with golf course carts mechanics as necessary
• Engine rebuilding, reading of hydraulic and writing schematics
• Physical work involving kneeling bending, stretching and lifting of heavy objects
Qualifications:
• High school diploma
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in engine and auto repair
• Proficiency in welding
• Ability to read and write English and interpret manufacturer’s service and repair manuals
• Computer skills to keep records.
• Valid driver’s license
