The National Prosecution Authority (NPA) is an autonomous body established by the NPA Act No. 34 of 2010. Its mission is to “provide prosecution services to contribute to a crime free Zambia’. In its quest to improve service delivery, the Authority is hereby inviting applications from suitable candidates to fill the following positions:
ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER – TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS
Employment type: Permanent and Pensionable
Salary Scale: NPA/05
Number of Positions: One (1)
Reports to: Senior Administrative Officer
Duty Station: Headquarters
Job Purpose
To coordinate, manage, and optimize the Authority’s transport and logistics operations, ensuring efficient utilization of fleet, compliance with policies, and timely support to institutional activities.
Specific Duties and Requirements:
- Effectively manages and coordinates the Authority’s fleet operations, including vehicle allocation and scheduling.
- Undertakes monitoring of vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules
- Ensures compliance with transport policies, safety regulations, and statutory requirements
- Oversees effectively servicing, repairs, and insurance of all vehicles
- Maintains accurate transport and logistics records and prepare periodic reports
- Coordinate effectively logistics for meetings, field operations, and official assignments
- Supervises drivers and transport support staff
- Implements cost-control measures and improve operational efficiency
- Handle transport-related procurement and vendor coordination.
Qualifications and Work Experience
- Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate with 5 ‘0’ levels credits or better Including English and Mathematics
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Transport & Logistics Management, Business Administration (Logistics/Operations), or Public Administration.
- Must be a Member of the of Zambia Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (ZCILT)
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ relevant experience in transport, fleet, or logistics management.
- Experience in a public sector or large organization is an added advantage
- Must be a Zambian citizen

- Knowledge of fleet management systems and transport regulations
- Analytical skills (fuel usage, cost control, reporting)
- Leadership and team supervision
- High level of integrity and accountability
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
