ZICTA
1) Purpose of the Job
To maintain safe and secure environment for Staff, Clients/Customers and all Authority stakeholders through the provision of Security services at ZICTA Premises
2) Statements of Main Responsibilities
a) Records all entries of visitors in and out of ZICTA premises
b) Records all entries of Authority asset movements and ensures necessary approvals by responsible officers is granted
c) Manages Authority Car parks i.e. main car park, executive, visitors and outside the Authority premises and ensures appropriate parking and security of vehicles
d) Accompanies responsible officers each time fuel is drawn from the filling station for purposes of refilling Gensets
e) Patrols ZICTA premises and car parks and ensures their security by ensuring vehicle doors and windows are properly closed and secured after normal working hours, weekends and during public holidays
f) Ensures completion of handing over certificate and inventory of all assets/ articles on site recorded including the state
g) Challenges and removes unauthorized and suspicious persons out of ZICTA premises
h) Ensures that contractors working over weekends or after normal working hours are accompanied by responsible ZICTA officers
i) Handles emergency situations at ZICTA premises such as fire, attacks and evacuation
j) Maintains an updated record of emergency lines such as fire brigade, Z.P, hospital and ZAF
k) Ensures ZICTA offices are locked up and secured after 17:00 hours
l) Carries out other duties as may be directed from time to time.
3) Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
a) General Education:
Full Grade 12 School Certificate
b) Professional/Academic Qualifications:
i. Certificate in Social Science, Business Management, Health and Safety or equivalent
ii. Training in Security
c) Relevant Pre-Job Experience:
1 year work experience in Security
4) The position of Assistant Security and Safety Officer is on a Permanent and Pensionable basis.
