Key Responsibilities:

  • Staff Management: Hire, train, and manage a team of bakers, confectioners, pastry chefs, and other
    bakery staff. Schedule shifts, monitor performance, and foster a positive, productive workplace.
  • Production Oversight: Oversee daily production of bakery items, ensuring consistency and quality.
    Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product quality.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels for raw materials, ingredients, and packaging.
    Ensure timely ordering of supplies, minimize waste, and manage costs.
  • Customer Service: Ensure a high standard of customer service, resolve any customer issues or
    complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Quality Control: Maintain consistent quality of all products, adhering to company recipes and
    standards. Perform regular quality checks on all baked goods.
  • Health & Safety: Enforce health and safety protocols, including food safety guidelines and
    cleanliness of the bakery.
  • Financial Management: Assist in budgeting, controlling expenses, and analyzing financial reports.
    Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality.
  • Sales & Marketing: Collaborate on promotional campaigns and new product launches to drive sales. Ensure that bakery displays are appealing and well-stocked.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including health codes, labor laws, and environmental standards.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (required). Culinary or baking certification (preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in bakery or food service management, with at least 1
year in a supervisory or managerial role.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in inventory management and cost control.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
  • Customer-oriented with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced, high-pressure environments.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying heavy things.
  • Comfortable working in a warm kitchen environment
