Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate A-Level Chemistry and Biology Tutor to provide high-quality academic support to students. The tutor will be responsible for designing engaging lessons, clarifying difficult concepts, and preparing students for examinations in line with A-Level curriculum standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver one-on-one and group tutoring sessions in A-Level Chemistry and Biology.
- Design and implement lesson plans tailored to students’ needs and academic goals.
- Explain complex scientific concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
- Assist students with exam preparation, past papers, and revision strategies.
- Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing constructive feedback and regular updates to parents/guardians (where applicable).
- Develop and share learning resources such as notes, practice questions, and diagrams.
- Foster an encouraging and supportive learning environment that promotes critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Stay updated with A-Level syllabus changes and examination board requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Chemistry and Biology with education or Biochemistry.
- Teaching Methodology qualification will be added advantage
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching A-Level students (minimum 3–4years preferred).
- Strong subject knowledge in both Chemistry and Biology at A-Level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet different learning styles.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
- Familiarity with A-Level exam boards (e.g., Cambridge, Edexcel, OCR) is an added advantage.
