Our client in Kitwe is looking for a Commercial Manager to join their team for a job vacancy within the Multinational Manufacturing Company.
Work Experience
- A minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant work experience, with at least five (5) years in a senior management role
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Social Sciences, Marketing, Business Management, or an Engineering discipline.
- MBA or a graduate degree in a relevant field.
Job Summary
- Lead the design, development, and execution of effective marketing and sales strategies and initiatives focused on addressing customer needs, strengthening brand equity, and ultimately driving revenue growth for the organization.
Key performance Indicators
- Demonstrate ownership and effectively communicate the strategic direction and objectives of the Sales and Marketing department to all personnel within the department.
- Oversee the articulation of the organization’s sales and marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with DCZL’s corporate strategy, goals, and objectives.
- Lead the design and implementation of a robust customer acquisition, retention, and relationship management strategy/framework to sustain and expand the organization’s clientele.
- Cultivate a customer service-oriented culture within the sales workforce and champion capacity-building initiatives for all staff categories within the department.
- Provide overall guidance and direction for the execution of the department’s functions and activities.
- Approve and coordinate the execution of the department’s work programs and plans.
- Coordinate, direct, and supervise the daily activities of the department, ensuring alignment with the overall goals and objectives of the company.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales and marketing plan to acquire substantial clientele from identified customer segments.
- Ensure the deployment of effective market penetration and market share acquisition strategies.
- Facilitate the development and establishment of effective channel strategies to promote sales
- Supervise the aggregation of market and industry business intelligence to support informed decision-making.
- Monitor and ensure the delivery of high-quality services to the company’s customers, while overseeing the design and implementation of a comprehensive customer relationship management framework.
- Stay informed of market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities, and develop strategies to effectively leverage market opportunities.
- Participate in workshops, trade shows, and seminars to remain current with industry developments.
- Oversee the preparation of the department’s annual budget and monitor its execution.
- Conduct periodic reviews of the department’s performance against established targets and develop action plans for improvement
