Borderway Capital Investment Ltd, the special purpose vehicle leading the Solwezi-Kipushi Tollway and Border Project under Zanthia’s Public-Private Partnership (PPP) framework, is expanding its project management team.
We invite applications from qualified and motivated professionals for the following positions:
Community & Liaison Officer
Responsibilities:
- Support government in lnd acquisition and resettement processes, ensuring compensation negotiations with local tribes and farmers are conducted fairly and respectfully.
- Engage local communities along the project route, resolve disputes arising from land use or project impacts, and maintaining stable relations.
- Develop and implement community engagement initiatives such as school rehabilitation, provision of temporary jobs, and small-scale social support projects.
- Address and resolve community complains related to construction disturbances such as dust, noise, and access disruptions.
- Monitor local public opinion, identify emerging risks, and manage media and community relations to protect the project’s reputation.
Qualifications:
Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related discipline, minimum 3 years’ experience in community engagement, stakeholder management, or resettlement projects, fluency in English and local languages required.
