
Road Development Agency
The Road Development Agency (RDA) is a statutory body whose function is to plan, manage and coordinate the road network in the country. The Agency is responsible for care, planning, maintenance and construction of public roads in Zambia. It also regulates the maximum permissible weights on roads, conducts studies for the development, maintenance and improvement of the road network, and reviews design standards and classification.The Agency wishes to fill up the following vacant positions:
ENGINEER BRIDGES AND EMERGENCIES (2 POSITIONS)
Job Summary
Reporting to the Provincial Roads Engineer, the Engineer -Bridges and Emergencies will be responsible for planning and design for Bridge and Major Culverts including works. Key responsibilities include.
- Reporting to the Provincial Roads Engineer, the Engineer -Bridges and Emergencies will be responsible for planning and design for Bridge and Major Culverts including works. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the management of the Bridge Management Systems.
- Responsible for management of bridge and major culverts Projects that include outsourced and force account projects;
- Responding to emergencies; and
- Coordinating the management of all road projects/contracts that include outsourced and force account projects
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Full Grade 12 School Certificate;
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering;
- Registered Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia; and
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in drainage structures.

- Proven strong writing and analytical skills;
- Honest and reliable with moral strength;
- Must have a dynamic, pro-active approach with excellent communication skills;

- Ability to multitask and work with minimum supervision.
