    Qualifications

    Grade 12 Certificate

    BSc. Degree in Fisheries Science, Aguaculture, Natural Resources or another related field.

    Job role

    Ensures adherence to Health and Safety protocols set by company including engaging in daily safety talks and submission by

    the team.

    · Plans feeding operations on a weekly and monthly basis and ensures the team has the necessary resources to perform its

    duties.

    · Ensures feeding is done correctly (as per the SOP) to achieve optimal growth and FCRs are consistently under control.

    · Monitors mortalities daily and cages with reduced feed intake daily.

    · Ensure all mortalities are removed from cages.

    · Ensure no feed escape from cages.

    · Flag out the none performing cages and recommendation to improve the cage performance.

    · Ensure all feeders tie the platform correctly on cages and no damage on the bridle’s ropes, walkway or handrail pipe.

    · Ensure cross ropes between cages is secured and not left tied between cages.

    · Report all broken bird stand, handrail, and walkway to cage maintenance.

    · Ensure all feeding platforms with water or broken are taken outside and fixed before the return on the lake on time.

    · Ensure all cages have the right net type and net change is conducted at the right time.

    · Ensure optimal use of feed – appropriate use of feed sizes and types.

    · Monitors condition of cages, nets, platforms, and reports issues to get fixed.

    · Ensure all site manpower is well balanced.

    · Ensure all new members are well trained and perform.

    · Plan daily attendance schedule leaves and balance boat logistic.

    · Inspect nets for physical holes and report timely.

    · Flags overstocked cages, potential theft, disease, and other risks.

    · Analyses and reviews equipment daily with relevant engineering teams

    · Supports management team in identifying and addressing fish health problems.

    · Coordinates with all other sections interacting with feeders. (Hatchery, counting, sampling, net deployment, divers,

    coxswains, and cage maintenance).

    · Ensures proper planning of annual leave and work schedules, reports sick leave and maximum team discipline.

    · Constantly evaluates the feeding team including supervisors and ensures maximum productivity.
