Job description:

Purpose

 

The Graduate will undergo a structured development program aimed at equipping them with the necessary skills, knowledge, and experience to excel in their chosen field. This role provides hands-on training, mentorship and exposure to various aspects of the business operations at FQM Kansanshi Mining Plc (KMP).

 

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in structured on-the-job training programs across different departments
• Support departmental projects, operations and daily activities
• Conduct research, data analysis and reporting to aid decision-making
• Collaborate with senior staff and cross-functional teams to optimize operational efficiency
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and company policies in all assigned tasks
• Engage in continuous learning and skill development through mentorship and training sessions
• Contribute innovative ideas and solutions to improve business processes
• Execute additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor, ensuring alignment with the development program’s objectives and operational priorities

 

Qualifications

 

Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following relevant fields with Merit or better;

• Mining Engineering
• Metallurgical Engineering/Metallurgy
• Chemical Engineering
• Civil Engineering
• Control Systems Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Geology/Rock Engineering
• Geomatics Engineering
• Information Technology/Computer Science/Information Systems/Data Science/Artificial Intelligence
• Finance and Accounting

 

Experience

• No prior experience required, but any internships or practical experience in mining operations will be advantageous
• Ability to multi-task & work well under pressure and in a team environment
• Good verbal and written communications skills
• Computer literate in Microsoft office suit
