Head of Finance Role
Astro Holdings Ltd is one of Zambia’s largest and diversified organization with business interests in a wide spectrum of categories. Due to the consistent growth in business; We are looking to expand our team with a new Head of Finance at our Head Office, in Lusaka, Zambia working closely with our Exco members.
The Head of Finance will lead and oversee all financial activities of the group and its subsidiary companies. The responsibilities of Head of Financeinclude the below but not limiting beyond the evolving requirements of business:
Responsibilities/Duties
- Prepare financials.
- Forecast and Planning.
- En-force a compliance and strong governance.
- Shareholder information requirements.
- Lead and manage all internal finance control operations.
- Conduct and manage all risk assessment and management.
- Oversee all financial activities of the organization.
- Evaluate and advise on current and future investments.
- Allocate resources and managing finances.
- Recommend cost efficiency strategies.
Requirements/Abilities
- Experience as a Head of Finance or similar position.
- Solid understanding of financial management and accounting.
- Knowledge of accounting software.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Effective leadership qualities.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple function, business units and teams.
Qualifications
The education and qualifications of a Head of Finance might include the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting, Business Management, or Business Studies
- Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in Senior Executive role
- Member of Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountant (ZICA)
