    We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in promoting a safe and compliant workplace by ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards. The ideal candidate will bring both technical knowledge and hands-on experience to support our commitment to employee well-being, regulatory compliance, and sustainable operations.     Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and coordinate the implementation of local Safety and Environment Management and Strategic Plans
    • Develop, maintain and enforce all safety procedures and regulations within the operational mining area and places of work
    • Demonstrate an understanding and uphold customer’s safety & environmental plans
    • Actively develop the HSE capability of management and workforce
    • Monitor and report on internal and external HSE trends (Display KPI’s)
    • Monitor and report on legislative compliance
    • Manage mine access packages and licenses for all Liebherr staff
    • Manage lifting equipment, support vehicle and tools certification plan
    • Produce timely and consistent statistical and analytical reports
    • Ensure appropriate training and awareness programs are delivered where required or appropriate
    • Act as primary contact with 3rd parties such as HSE related regulatory bodies
    • Provide workable solutions to HSE challenges whilst also driving a program of related continuous improvement
    • Aid site Supervisors in investigating and reporting of accident, hazard and near-miss events, providing result generating corrective/preventative action where required
    • Ensure robust audit, inspection and assessment programs are conducted to validate and improve both legal and business standards

    Qualifications

    • Certificate or Diploma in Health, Safety and Environment
