INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY OFFICER-APPLICATIONS – LUSAKA – 1

Job Purpose

To undertake the provision of ICT support for ICT systems in order to facilitate seamless user access to ICT and e-service.

Principal Accountabilities

  • To design and develop software applications, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural guidelines:
  • To write high-quality, efficient, and scalable code using appropriate programming languages and frameworks ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and maintainable code practice;
  • To Design and implement integration strategies for seamless data flow between applications and systems;
  • To create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, design specifications, and user manuals and ensuring that documentation accurately reflects the application design and functionality;
  • To troubleshoot application-related incidents in order to ensure availability of ICT services; and
  • To perform other incidental tasks consistent with software application development objectives of the Commission.

Qualifications

  • Full-Form V or Grade 12 School Certificate;
  • BSc in Computer Science or equivalent;
  • Must be a member of the Information and Communication Technology Association of Zambia:
  • Aged between 25 and 35 years old.Skills/attributes
