INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY OFFICER-INFRASTRUCTURE – LUSAKA-1 (RE-ADVERTISED)
Job Purpose
To undertake the provision of ICT support for ICT infrastructure in order to facilitate seamless user access to ICT and e-service.
Principal Accountabilities
- To undertake effectively the installation, configuration, upgrading and maintenance of ICT hardware in order to meet end-user requirements;
- To undertake effectively the development, installation, configuration, upgrading and maintenance of ICT software in order to facilitate service provision;
- To undertake effectively the provision of ICT systems security in order to safeguard the integrity of the Institutional data and prevent unauthorized access
- To undertake effective capacity building of end- users in order to enable them to effectively utilize various ICT Systems in the performance of their work;
- To undertake effectively the alignment of ICT hardware and network systems specifications with user requirements in order to conform to policies;
- To undertake effectively the provision of first-line software, hardware and network support and helpdesk services for users in order to resolve their issues:
- To undertake effectively the development and implementation of a disaster recovery plan in order to ensure business continuity.
Qualifications
- Full-Form V or Grade 12 School Certificate;
- BSc in Computer Science or equivalent;
- Must be a member of the Information and Communication Technology Association of Zambia;
- Aged between 25 and 35 years old.
