Job Title: Recruitment Manager
Location: Lusaka, Zambia
Department: Human Resources
Reports To: Head of HR / HR Director
Purpose of the Role
The Recruitment Manager is responsible for leading and executing the organization’s talent acquisition strategy. This role oversees the full recruitment lifecycle, ensuring the attraction, selection, and onboarding of high-caliber candidates aligned with business needs and culture. The ideal candidate will bring strategic insight, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of sourcing methodologies, employer branding, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to meet current and future workforce requirements
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job profiling, advertising, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation
- Partner with department heads to understand staffing needs and workforce planning
- Lead employer branding initiatives to position the company as an employer of choice
- Oversee recruitment metrics and reporting to drive data-informed decisions
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, internal policies, and ethical hiring practices
- Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies and job boards
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in all hiring practices
- Supervise and mentor recruitment officers and coordinators
- Drive continuous improvement in candidate experience and recruitment efficiency
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of recruitment platforms, ATS systems, and sourcing tools
- Proven ability to manage high-volume and specialized recruitment campaigns
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with Zambian labor laws and international hiring standards
