Mission

To develop and maintain service contract by maximizing availability, while minimizing stockholding through implementation of proactive maintenance management strategies.

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To be the main contact person for the customer in terms of all service business issues on the site.
  • Attend all the meetings with customer regarding engineering, SHEQ and commercial issues.
  • Ensure the management of WIP and profitability of the service contract, in consultation with the line manager.
  • Provision of relevant facilities and tools for the site service team for safe and quality work execution.
  • Promote the planned maintenance philosophy and ensure adherence to standards.
  • Provision of relevant trainings to the team to ensure effective and efficient work execution.
  • Provision and ensuring the compliance with agreed stock levels to ensure timely work execution.
  • Management of rotables and coordination with workshop team to ensure timely and quality repairs.
  • Sales of non-contractual products and solutions such as trainings and workshop repairs, in collaboration with sales and workshop managers.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the line manager.

Competences, Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum of 5 years’ of practical related experience in the mining equipment business, parts and services field experience is highly preferred
  • Prior demonstrated experience successfully leading teams of employees is required
  • Strong mechanical/technical background is required for issue resolution & reasoning/discussing “root cause analysis” back to customers
  • Effective communication skills, including presenting information and responding to inquiries from Epiroc management and internal/external customers is required
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
