    The Role: SEN Teacher (Early Years to Secondary)

    You will play a pivotal, non-discriminatory role in identifying and supporting students across our age range (Early Years to Grade 12) who require differentiated instruction due to specific learning difficulties, sensory impairments, or social/emotional challenges.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Individualised Education Plans (IEPs): Lead the development, implementation, monitoring, and review of high-quality, measurable IEPs for students identified with SEN.
    • Assessment and Identification: Conduct formal and informal assessments to accurately identify student learning needs, strengths, and barriers to learning.
    • Inclusion and Collaboration:
      • Work closely with subject teachers and the academic leadership team to differentiate and adapt the Cambridge, IB, and ECZ curricula to ensure meaningful access for all learners.
      • Provide expert guidance on inclusive teaching strategies, classroom management, and resource allocation.
    • Direct Instruction: Deliver targeted, one-on-one, and small-group support sessions utilizing evidence-based, specialised teaching methodologies.
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain open, constructive communication with parents/guardians, external specialists (e.g., therapists, educational psychologists), and the school counseling team.
    • Resource Management: Curate and manage a specialist resource library and tools that support diverse learning profiles.

    Candidate Profile and Requirements

    Essential Qualifications and Experience

    • A recognised Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, with a specialist qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Learning Support.
    • Minimum of 3 years of successful experience as an SEN Teacher/Coordinator, ideally within an international school environment offering Cambridge and/or IB programmes.
    • Deep understanding of common learning difficulties (e.g., Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, ADHD) and effective intervention strategies.
    • Proven track record in developing and managing comprehensive IEPs and liaising with external assessment bodies.
