Workshop Manager
To be responsible to the Operations Director for the availability all farm equipment engaged in the operation of a modern dairy farming enterprise with dryland and irrigated cropping capabilities.
DESCRIPTION:
- Specialist in the repair and maintenance of modern farm equipment comprising mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and computerised components, including Smart Farming GPS Guidance Systems.
- Practical knowledge of the operation of sophisticated machinery and interest in the training of personnel, both in workshop and operationally.
- Fleet management, maintenance plans, stock control and seasonal operational co-ordination.
- Any experience with Waikato Rotary Milking Platforms would be an added advantage.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Agricultural Machinery Master Craftsperson/Mechanic with strong computer skills including those associated with satellite guidance of large agricultural equipment.
- Training of personnel will be an important and mandatory aspect of the role.
